Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of Vicente and Inez Lopez.
She was a home maker who also served as president of the Women’s Presbyterian Chapter of New York City in the 1970s. She charmed all around her with her unique personality and will be remembered for her charismatic nature and joy of life which drew others to her. She was a prankster who brought smiles to everyone around her with her playfulness, and was known to those who loved her as “Mamita”.
She is survived by her daughter Nancy Serkes (and Jeffrey Serkes), son Peter Robles Jr., grandsons Isaac Cepeda, Adam Cepeda, Andrew Serkes, Ryan Serkes, Peter Anthony Robles, Joshua Robles, Sean Robles, Evan Robles, and great grandsons Jason Cepeda and Noah Cepeda. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Robles, husband Julian Mendez, and her grandson Jason Cepeda.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 2pm and friends are invited to calling hours on that day from 2 to 6pm at Leo P. Gallagher & Son Funeral Home, 2900 Summer Street, Stamford, CT.
