Avis de décès
David Taylor
1 novembre 1965 – 13 février 2024
AUX SOINS DE
Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service
On Tuesday, February 13, as the rain gently fell, God called David C. Taylor home to his loving arms, thus putting an end to a fierce 16 month long battle with cancer.
David Copeland Taylor was born on November 1, 1965 in Alexandria, Virginia to Carlisle and Betty Taylor. Dave's roots were in Alexandria, where he lived most of his life, aside from a brief period in Florida. Very much a Virginia boy, he returned to the area where he remained until relocating to Goldvein VA in April 23. He lived independently until the end, with his beloved cat, Ellwood.
Dave's career path took him in many directions, he owned a music store, did sound for local bands and worked retail, most notably at Table Talk restaurant in Alexandria (2015-2017). Dave reluctantly had to give up work due to his illness.
Dave had many accomplishments during his life, he was a small business owner, an advocate for cats and he raised many happy cats whom were his "kids",but his proudest accomplishment was becoming an uncle to his "2 beautiful nieces", whom he never missed an opportunity to Bragg about.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents, an older brother and several loved cats.
He is survived by his older brother, Chris Taylor; his nieces, Elizabeth Flynn and Natalie Taylor; his sister and caregiver, Karen Taylor; his nephew, Michael Flynn; his friend, Ricky Rojas and his best friend, Erica Kronstedt and his fur baby, Ellwood.
A visitation for David will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554, followed by a celebration of life at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you make a donation to your local cat shelter in Dave's name.
