Catherine Glasby our Saint

What is a Saint?
A holy one, someone who is set apart for God's Special Purpose. And as a follower of Jesus Christ our lord and savior shall is a Saint.
Can anyone be a Saint?
Yes, but the road isn't easy. The journey toward sainthood involves an exhaustive process that can take decades or even centuries.
I have seen my mother go through a marriage to a man (my father) whom she loved very, very much even to the end no matter what. Together they raised 3 kids and especially for the past 45 years she dedicated her life to raising a very special lady we all know and love so very much- Lisa, I which Mom exhausted herself to make sure Lisa had everything she needed. She made sure before God took her home that Lisa would be provided for is why my mother is a Saint to us.
She was in no doubt a fighter and battled Cancer numerous times until she couldn't anymore. Now she can rest and watch over all of us as she is now our angel in heaven.
I love you mom and hope to see you more in my dreams until we meet again to start another new life together.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers through this rough time!! I have a fond memory of when  we visited her down in VA  for a family wedding and three Kathy’s all together me , aunt Cathy may she rest in peace and aunt Kathy Hall!!  While I was young it’s one of my favorite memories!!

Aunt Cathy was a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul. I wished we lived closer and had gotten to spend more time together, but all of the times our family spent with her are memorable. She had a smile that lit up a room and a fantastic personality. She clearly loved her family more then anything in the world. We will miss her so very much. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am so sorry to hear of Kathy's passing. I know she was so loved by everyone, especially her family. I was her Realtor in the purchase of her home. She was so focused on that one home that no other would suit her and Lisa. We had some good laughs and it was a fun transaction. I will always remember when  Lisa told me to "get my fat butt through the door"! My deepest sympathies.

Catherine Glasby, what to say? A kind and loving woman that would perhaps give you the shirt off her back if she knew you were in need. I met her through my friendship of her daughter Tami! I was Blessed to gain another friend the moment I met “Nana”!! Tami and I raised our kids together on good ole Martin Street, where our families grew to be close and at times inseparable (those boys Tyler and Ben especially)! There came a time when Nana moved in 2 doors up from our house, and I was welcomed anytime day or night! Family meant everything to her and I am proud to be a part of that family!! Many memories made and always cherished!! And the LOVE she had for her girl Lisa was beyond what anyone could ever imagine!! I just have to say Thank you to Nana for letting me be a part of your life! I will keep all these memories made with you in my heart and of course think of you often!! I’ve held a very special place in my heart for Cathy.   I met Cathy at bingo. She noticed that I had a port on my chest and asked me if I was taking chemo treatments. I told her yes and then she proceeded to share her experiences of cancer with me. She then asked who my oncologist was and I told her that he was located in Northern Virginia. She then convinced me to change to her oncologist because she claimed he was the best. I did make the change and I have never regretted it. 
I always loved seeing Cathy and Lisa at Bingo.  Lisa was always given the best of care. Lisa is such a sweet person. I always wished that I could have spent more time with Cathy and Lisa.  Unfortunately, my husband was not well and most of my time was dedicated to him. 
Cathy will be dearly missed by all and I’m sure she has left many memories for everyone to share.   I wish I could be present for the Memorial Service, but we moved to Florida this past July. My husband is presently in the hospital, not doing well, and I need to be with him. 
May Cathy Rest In Peace.

To the most beautiful Woman I ever knew..
I've known Catherine for over 10 years an always a pleasure..She always knew how to have a good time even if we were in a heat wave..ha ha..
We did so much talking we would be laughing in the end..
We helped each other with being able to talk about our problems, good an bad..
She will never be forgotten..I can close my eyes an see see her an that smiled she had..
Her heart was so full an she did more an more..
She is a friend who I will never forget....

One of the sweetest, most kind people that I had the honor of knowing throughout my life. I’ll be keeping everyone in my prayers. ❤️

The look on Catherine's face when she won pull tabs or the jackpot will be how we remember her.  All smiles, and her telling us she knew she was going to win.

Aunt Cathy, 

Although I know you are now at peace, I cannot seem to reconcile that with the void you left behind.  You were such a  vibrant, strong, funny, supportive, kind and loving force in my life and in the lives of anyone who was lucky enough to have known you.  I will never forget the wisdom of your advice, the long hugs that always gave  comfort, and the laughter that was so contagious,   Mostly I will remember the love you were always ready to give so generously and so selflessly.  And of course the gasp of surprise  when you got surprise visitors at the craft show.  I will love and miss you every day and I hope that as I go through this life, I can be half the woman that you were.  Although you set the bar pretty high.  All my Love. until we meet again.

Your nana was the most loving and sweetest ladies I’ve had the pleasure of knowing. She would always come into the salon always with a smile on her face and with Lisa smiling too ALWAYS😍 always so caring and I just loved when she would make her chicken salad and bring it in for us all!!! She was such a fighter with cancer and always had a positive outlook with it always!! I’m praying for you all and heaven did indeed gain another Angel and she will be missed !! Hugs to you all

Wow, sitting here tonight and thinking to myself that there really are no words to express how important and how much I loved my Aunt Cathy. I have so many memories of her throughout my entire lifetime, but there is one memory that carried on and on. There was a time when she lived in Fort Belvoir and I was there for about two weeks spending time with my cousins and one night she fixed lasagna for dinner and boy could my Aunt Cathy cook.  Anyway,  the next morning for breakfast, she put some lasagna in a frying pan and added some milk and that was our breakfast. I really thought she was crazy but it was absolutely delicious and a great breakfast and to this day when I make lasagna, I still put lasagna in the frying pan add some milk and have it for breakfast Aunt cathy I love you so much you are a hero  in my eyes and my heart. You are the Most courageous woman I have ever known and you were, and always will be my favorite aunt and I will love you forever and I will see you when it’s my time to join you in heaven with God and my Mom, Dad and all of our loved ones who passed . I love you Aunt Cathy with all heart and I will hold onto all my memories of you until we are reunited in Heaven❤️😘
