Timothy Martin Quill

Tim graduated from Prospect High School, Mt. Prospect, Illinois, then served in the United States Army from 1971-1974 in Korea as an Army Medic. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois, in 1978 with a B.A. in English. Tim attended Luther Northwestern Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota, graduating in 1983 with a Master of Divinity, where afterwards he went on to accept a call to a church in Alief, Texas. Tim attended South Texas College of Law, receiving a Doctor of Jurisprudence.

Tim retired in 2020 from The Quill Law Firm, where he practiced general law, including criminal defense, family law and probate law. Tim enjoyed everything about law and cared very deeply for his clients. He was an avid golfer, and fisherman, he also loved to take road trips with his Army buddies to Colorado for some fishing and storytelling. He was a talented musician, gifted on the piano, and loved playing to an audience. Tim was also known for his wicked sense of humor; he could tell jokes all night long.

Tim is predeceased by his father, David Quill. He is survived by his wife, Debra Kaczmarek-Quill, as well as his mother, Irene Quill; his daughter, Elizabeth Robertson; his son, Andrew Quill (Marci) and his step- daughter, Kelly Scarcliff (Lauren); his granddaughter, Zoey Robertson; his brother, Steve Quill (Eileen) and his sister, Charlotte Quill Lewis (Greyson).

A celebration of Timothy’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 8, at Quail Valley, 2880 La Quinta Drive in Missouri City.

At a later date the family will gather for a private service, at Houston National Cemetery.

Tim was a Board Member of Fort Bend Family Promise.
