THOMAS CONRAD MICHAEL MCHUGH, age 82, of Missouri City, Texas passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020. He was born May 11, 1938 in Jersey City, New Jersey but spent most of his childhood in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Tom’s career started at Lunkenheimer Valve Company in New York in purchasing but quickly found his calling and moved into sales where he spent the rest of his career. Throughout this career he worked his way “up the sales ladder” at various companies and across the country. After working in New York, Illinois, Ohio and Texas, he spent several years at Standard Fittings, Inc. as the Vice President of Sales in Louisiana. Tom ultimately settled in Houston working as a Sales Representative at Penn Machine where retired in 2008.
Tom was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be greatly missed by those who loved him and by those lives he touched. Among his many interests were reading, golf, traveling, and cruising on the high seas. He is known for his charm and wit, his sense of humor, and his original and interesting stories and tall tales! Tom’s wife Ruth passed away in January 2008. Tom is survived by his three daughters, Noelle Ingram and her husband Michael, Kristen Twilley and her husband Steve, and Kelly Brandom and her husband John; Grandchildren – Jonathon Twilley, Amber Twilley, Amanda Ingram, Zach Brandom, Tyler Brandom and Caitlyn Ingram; and numerous other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation: Saturday, December 5, 2020, 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM with the Funeral Service following at 2:30 PM at Earthman Southwest Chapel, 12555 South Kirkwood, Stafford, TX with Dr. Ross officiating. Interment: Morton Cemetery, Richmond, TX.
