Michael Ray Stelly, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went to meet his Heavenly Father on August 16, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on November 29, 1955, Michael lived a life filled with love, faith, and dedication to those he cherished.
Michael's faith was the cornerstone of his life. He loved the Lord deeply and lived out his beliefs through his actions and relationships. His devotion to his family and his KAMM Courier family was unwavering. He was a guiding light to many, offering joy, support, and, most memorably, his warm bear hugs that made everyone feel cherished.
An avid golfer, Michael found joy and camaraderie on the Quail Valley golf course, where he spent many happy hours with his close friends. His love for the game was matched only by his love for the people he shared it with.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Agnes Stelly, and his brother, Ken Stelly. He is survived by his beautiful wife of 17 years, Gracie Stelly, who was the treasure of his life. Gracie, is a principal at Cornerstone Christian Academy, was Michael's greatest source of pride and joy.
He also leaves behind his beloved children, Michael and Monica Stelly, Daniel Garcia, Phillip Garcia, and Sarah Garcia, who were all the light of his life. Michael's love extended to his amazing grandchildren, Mia, Matthew, Myla, Justin, Ben, and Sammy who affectionately called him "PaDaddy." He adored them and cherished every moment spent together, sharing his love and laughter.
In addition, Michael is survived by his niece, Melanie Stelly, his cousin, Henrietta Johnson, and sister-in-law, Peggy Stelly. Mike was blessed with all his in laws and their families: Elida Macias, Arnold and Virginia Barrera, Leo and Andrea Gonzalez, and Henry and Debbie Gonzalez. Also included were his close-knit community of friends and colleagues. He was a friend to all who knew him, known for his big heart, loud voice, and tender spirit.
Michael took great pride in his company and was deeply proud of his employees in Dallas, San Antonio and Houston who helped make it a success.
Michael's life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and friendship. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength that will continue to guide his loved ones in the years to come. His Legacy will be a source of comfort and inspiration. We take solace in knowing he is in the presence of the Lord's loving arms. Michael's spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His life and the love he shared will never be forgotten.
