Catherine (Kay) Sullivan (nee Harrison), 94, of St. Petersburg, FL passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at St. Petersburg General Hospital. Kay was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of William John Harrison and Margaret Cecilia (Green). She resided with her husband in Edgewater, NJ, before relocating to St. Petersburg, FL in 1970.
After graduating from Lincoln High School, Jersey City, NJ, Kay worked for Burlington Industries in New York City in the field of data processing. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church and attended St. Jude the Apostle Cathedral in St. Petersburg, FL. Kay was devoted to God and her faith and enjoyed her time in prayer and reading the Bible. Kay had a beautiful voice and loved singing at church, which was a source of much joy for all. Kay and her husband enjoyed the Florida lifestyle: going to the beach, swimming, biking, and especially daily walks. Kay was a devoted wife and treasured her husband embracing their time together.
Kay was predeceased by her loving husband of 30 years, Edward 1993, and by her brother, William, her sister Eileen (Davis), and her sister Margaret (Peer). Surviving are her many devoted nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Kay will be held Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 10:30 AM at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513.
