Our beloved husband, father, brother and grandfather passed away peacefully at his home on November 18, 2024, at the age of 85. He was the son of Carl Clifford Fuller, Sr. and Marjorie Johnson Fuller. He is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor, children Jeffrey (Donna), Courtney (Ken), and Meredith (Chuck), and his brother, Bill Fuller. He is also survived by grandchildren Marissa, Jessica and Maxwell.
Cliff was born in Raleigh, NC on January 11, 1939. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served on the USS Forrestal. He then attended North Carolina State, and University of North Carolina. His career took him from North Carolina, to California, and ultimately to Pennsylvania. It was in Pennsylvania that he met his future wife Eleanor through mutual friends. They married in 1979; their 45 years of marriage have been most fruitful.
In 1987, Cliff and Eleanor opened their filing and storage business, Storage Concepts, Inc. During their time with the company business, they made many close friends and enjoyed the challenges of running a business together as partners.
Cliff was an avid fisherman, fishing in various places in the country. Most notable were his fishing trips to Canada. Cliff also loved Nascar, a love that he shared with with his family, attending races and watching together on TV. Cliff was even able to race a stockcar at a NASCAR track, racing against his son and being cheered on by his family. Along with his love of speed was his love of flying. He loved planes, the mechanics of flight and even tried his hand at flying his son-in-law’s plane.
Cliff and Eleanor were blessed to spend time together at their homes in Pennsylvania and Tierre Verde, FL. As time passed they developed a special love for their Florida home and also traveled extensively to places like the Galapagos, Paris, Italy, Croatia, Greece, Spain and Portugal.
Cliff’s love of family was everything to him. Whether it was teaching the grandchildren to swim, or a good old family game of UNO or ”Aggravation”, Cliff loved his family above all else. He was so proud of each of his children and grandchildren and all of their many accomplishments.
In closing, the family would like to extend their love and deepest appreciation to Warren Sterling who cared for Cliff, along with Eleanor for over 7 years. His loyalty to Cliff’s care and love for him was a true blessing to our family.
Known for his larger-than-life personality, Cliff will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Cliff’s family asks that he be remembered for the joy he brought to others and not the sadness of his passing.
There will be a Celebration of life in Florida in early December for his family and close friends. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Tunnel to Towers or to the Pass-a-Grille Beach Community Church Building Fund. Thank you.
