Jesse R Crain your husband of 34 years finally able to be with you. You two were such a GREAT LOVE.

Charles and I will miss you and your humor, and your laughter, and the times we spent with you and Ray at Christmas and birthday celebrations. You were a wonderful mother-in-law to  our daughter, Becky, and grandmother to Gavin and Grayson. 
Our small world of family has lost a precious person and heaven has gained one by her presence there.

You will always live in our hearts and prayers.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I miss you more than I can say, but you are always with me and I thank God for having those last hours with you. We were unaware of what would come but somehow we both knew to cherish every moment. My Mother was loving, kind, full of faith, and a true joy to be with. She was real and spoke her mind when she had too but somehow in the process she never made you feel condemned. She loved her children and grandchildren and would see the best part of each one of us. To the moment she left her Hospital room she was making jokes laden with sarcasm and entertained those who were caring for her.  At her final moment she told the Nurse with her that she was "simply tired now" and I am glad it was shared with such a precious person. Thank you United Hospital for giving us time, respect, and compassion. Now as we approach the final stretch of the difficult but necessary things we must do for her end in this life, I can feel her love, warmth, and laughter. This is the strength we all have because she quietly passed it on to us throughout our lives. Thank you my beautiful, Mom, I love you.

Dear Ray and family,
I was shocked to see that Sharon had died.  What an unfortunate accident.  Although, we know with God, nothing is an accident.  After reading comments on Sharon's facebook page and on Michelle's page, I know there was and is a lot of physical pain.  But even then you see her joking around.  She wanted it that way to make it easier on all involved.  She always lived life to the fullest, and it just wouldn't be right for her to die from a heart attack, or stroke, or to be laid up in a nursing home forever.  She was with her family having fun and enjoying all of them.
  I should back up and tell you that my husband and I were their neighbors that lived across the street from them on South 18th in Richmond.  She kept the neighborhood lively and you could always count on her to give her two cents worth on any topic.  She had that ability to call things exactly as they were without sugar coating it.  She could get by with it, though, because of her humor and that laugh that she would give at the end of a comment.  I have missed her and Ray, and will continue to do so.  I will be praying for all of you during this hard time.  It's difficult to let someone go who was such a loving, caring, and giving person. You were all blessed to have had her in your lives, and I feel I was a part of that blessing, too.  I cannot think of her without smiling!  God bless and keep you all.
