Mikhail Mark Dereschuk

Our hearts are beyond broken. Mikhail, you were an amazing son, husband, brother (in-law), uncle, cousin and friend. Mikster, it was a privilege to have you in our lives and we will always & forever love you and be so very proud of you. May you find everlasting peace in the arms of God.

Mikhail & Macy met at a young age, had a long courtship and married on May 4, 2019. Mikhail purchased his first home at age 23 and just paid his truck off!

Mikhail was an engaging and social teenager who loved sports as much as a good book…he was reading at a high school level by the 4th grade. Mik could finish off an entire Harry Potter book, in our van full noisy kids, during one “hockey tournament weekend”. He continued to be an avid reader as an adult with e-books.

He was a natural at hockey, and played the catcher position in baseball. Though a young man he put passion in everything he did, and had an extremely strong work ethic passed down from his parents. He was always inventing and building things.

He kept improving and bettering himself with each new place of employment. He started out at Asplundh Tree Service, and with his slim, trim, agile body became an expert. He did purchase his own saddle, saws and equipment and did many side jobs. Watching him swing like a monkey high in the sky and take down monstrous trees without damaging a single blade of grass, so to speak, was really an art show!! But he did not enjoy dangling over power lines, so he moved on. He then worked for one year at Shafer Contracting.

From there he went to C.S. McCrossan starting out as an apprentice concrete mason. Due to his attention to safety, awareness of productivity, and again, his work ethic he become one of the youngest craftsman to come out of an apprenticeship program & become a foreman for a large General Contractor. Mikhail was proud to be the youngest Concrete Foreman ever in the history of Local Union 633 and C.S McCrossan. He won a safety award in 2019 and an apprentice award in 2017. Mikhail was a member in good standing with the Cement Mason’s Local 633 union.

He was preceded in death by an infant brother, Michael; paternal grandparents, Nick & Bonnie; maternal grandpa Bob, maternal great grandparents, Cliff and Ruth.

Mikhail will be missed by his wife, Macy; parents, Greg and Val Dereschuk; parents-in-law, Mike and Shelly Anderson; siblings, Jessica (Lester) McDaniel, Nick, and Ali (Evan) Arakawa; nephews, Lucas and Drake; niece, Cenny; maternal grandma Sandy; grandparents-in-law, Dave and Dede; as well as aunts; uncles; cousins; and many friends.
