She was preceded in death by her husband Harlan Walter, and many dear friends.
June was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to G. Edwin Paulson and Helen Budah. She lived in St. Paul until she moved to Oakdale in 1987. Many years were spent working for Montgomery Ward in St. Paul and the 3M company in Maplewood before she had children. After her children were older, June returned to work at 3M, and worked in Travel Analysis from 1971 until 1989 when she retired. After retirement, June enjoyed traveling with her husband. They were fortunate enough to have traveled to such places as Hawaii, Jamaica, England, Ireland, Minnesota’s North Shore and Lake of the Woods.
June and Harlan had five children; Cindy Peterson, Sue (John) Russell, Sharon (Mike) Koren, Ken Soller, Mary (Jeff) Linscott; five grandchildren, Larry Peterson, David Russell, Nicolette and Austin Linscott; step grandson, Dan (Ruthy) Koren; and one step great-granddaughter, Annalia Koren.
June loved spending time with her family for holidays, birthdays, and trips “Up North” to stay at the cabin. For many years she attended her grandchildren’s sporting events, band concerts, choir performances and graduations. There was nothing she enjoyed more.
June was a very faithful member of her church, Eastern Heights Lutheran, for at least 60 years. When her children were younger she was involved in teaching Sunday school and vacation bible school as well as being on the altar guild. In her later years she participated in a weekly bible class. She also had a group of friends that got together every week at Guardian Angels to play bingo and celebrate birthdays.
June will be deeply missed by her family.
