Berreth in Bagley, MN. They and his brother James proceeded him to Heaven.
He is survived by his wife Mary (Busse), daughter Tami, son Jason and wife
Jessica (Elwell), and son Andrew and wife Rachel (Murphy); his love and joy –
his grandchildren Alison and husband Zachary Grudem, Jacob and wife Jackie
(Enriquez), Alexander, Evan, Joshua, Madalyn, Daniel, McKenna and great
granddaughter Raven.
Jerry had many interests such as aviation, mechanics, Ham radio and music.
His real love was music and God gifted him with the ability to play the piano
by ear. He was blessed to be in the New Life Quartet, and to be the music
director at Faith Alliance Church (now RiverLife Church). He always wanted to
use his talents for Jesus.
In our early married days, he drove school bus and had a route for children
with disabilities. He would lovingly lift and carry each child onto the bus and
make sure they were securely buckled in, as there were no special transport
aids available in those years. He loved his passengers and was always so kind
to them. He also drove cement truck, tow truck (with some interesting
stories), and drove school bus again at the end of his working career, prior to
full retirement. He loved to drive.
Jerry was a wonderful, caring, and loving husband, father, grandpa and great
grandpa. He always said “I love you” every day, multiple times. We know he is
with Jesus and getting a choir ready to welcome us to Heaven. We can hear
him saying, “Praise The Lord”, like he did frequently every day.
Thank you so much for all of your love and prayers for our family.
