Mary Ann Mallery Wiltz

St. Martinville- A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Mary Ann Mallery Wiltz, 83, who passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at her residence. Rev. Abelardo Gabriel, SVD will officiate the Funeral Mass.

Following the Mass, Mrs. Wiltz will be laid to rest at Queen of Peace Mausoleum.

The family requests that visiting hour be observed at Evangeline Funeral Home from 8:00 am until 10:30 am on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

Mary Ann was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Born on February 24, 1939 in St. Martinville, LA to the late George and Opehlia Dauphine Mallery. Sr.

She was a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church and The Goodwill Society. Her favorite and most cherished times were spent cooking for her family. She could often be found in her kitchen with her apron on, preparing family favorites, such as, smothered chicken, white beans, BBQ Ribs, pecan cake and pumpkin pie.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving children, Joseph Wiltz, Jr. and wife Mary Ann; Mary Alberta Wiltz; Charles Wiltz, Sr. and wife Helen; Ann Wiltz Johnson and husband Chris; Sidney Wiltz and wife Kelly and Cassandra Wiltz; her grandchildren, Natasha Wiltz and Hannah; Jeremy Wiltz; Charles Wiltz, Jr. (Tiffany); Michael Wiltz, Sr. (Jillie); Joe Bob Wiltz; Christiana Johnson; Christopher Johnson, Jr.; Christian Johnson; Caitlyn Wiltz; Devonte Cormier and Nathaniel Cormier; her great grandchildren, Michael Wiltz, Jr.; Devyn Wiltz; Maverick Wiltz; Meilah Wiltz; Caleb Wiltz and Chloe Wiltz and one sister, Augustine Morris.

Along with her parents, she is reunited with her husband, Joseph Wiltz, Sr.; three brothers, George Mallery, Jr., Warren Mallery and Zervin Mallery and eight sisters, Rose Mary Francis; Mary Lou Wiltz; Flora Bell Pierre; Melvina Wiltz; Florine James; Lillie Mae Martin; Rita Mae Batiste and Antoinette Francis.

Honored to be pallbearers are Joseph Wiltz, Jr., Charles Wiltz, Sr., Sidney Wiltz, Michael Wiltz, Charles Wiltz, Jr., Jeremy Wiltz, Joe Bob Wiltz and Charles Wiltz, Sr.

Kevin Wiltz, Paul Wiltz, Caleb Wiltz, Christopher Johnson, Jr., Christian Johnson, Melvin Phillip, Michael Wiltz, Jr., and Christopher Johnson, Sr. will be honorary pallbearers.
