CATAHOULA- Lories Camille Dauphinet, age 88, of Catahoula, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 30, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was a devoted and compassionate woman, known for her caring nature and selfless dedication to serving others. Lories found joy in caring for both children and the elderly, embodying the essence of kindness and empathy.
Her passion for cleanliness extended beyond her home, where she meticulously kept everything tidy. She cherished her time outdoors, finding solace in tending to her flower beds and maintaining her home and yard. Lories' love for outdoor activities, from picking up sticks to painting fences, reflected her appreciation for the simple beauties of life. One thing about Lories if you knew her, there was no gray area, it was all Black & White, something that brought laughter (sometimes tears) to all around her.
Lories is survived by her daughter, Dixie Dauphinet; her sons, Herby Dauphinet (Cindy), Todd Dauphinet (Missy), and Toby Dauphinet (Cindy); her brother, James "Jim" Camille (Gloria); her sisters, Linda Pelous (Robert) and Velma "PeeWee" Duplechin (Billy). She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard "Fala" Dauphinet, her parents Walter and Amelina Johnson Camille, her sisters Mary Higginbotham and Amelina "Petit" Bergeron, and her brother Jessie “Tat” Camille.
Lories leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, cherished by her eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
