Eldridge Patrick Trimble Sr.

Eldridge Patrick Trimble, Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, great-great grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.

Born on September 12, 1947 in Jeanerette, LA to the late Willie and Lydia Stevens Trimble and was one of eight children.

He was employed as a driller in the oilfield for many years. In his spare time he enjoyed inventing things, riding his bike and cooking rice and gravy for his family.

Eldridge is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Leonard Trimble; two daughters, Janet Trimble and Katherine Trimble; one son, Dereck Trimble and wife Mirey; thirteen grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren and two brothers, Larry Trimble and Lonnie Trimble and wife Betty Jean.

Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his son, Eldridge Patrick Trimble, Jr.; one granddaughter, Heather Trimble; great-great granddaughter, Nakiyah Anderson; two sisters, Betty Trimble and Mary Meyers and three brothers, Roy Trimble, Steven Trimble and Willie Trimble.
