McCULLOUGH, William Harry, born June 13, 1929, called home to be with his beloved wife, Betty (nee McKay) McCullough on April 19, 2013 at 4:03pm. Bill is survived by his loving children, Cindy Lifka, Lori McCullough (Julie Harmann), William McCullough, Jr., and Diana (Wally) Cerva. He is the cherished grandfather of Amy (Tony) Smith, Melissa Lifka, Katie (Chris) Casey, and Samantha McCullough; inspirational great-grandfather to Blake Buol, Bailee Smith, Matthew Hendricks, Dylan Wicker, Mason Smith, Corissa Casey, Clay Smith, Kyleigh Casey, Mackenzy Smith, and Cambell Smith; dear uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Bill was a talented bowler, known as “Killer” McCullough for the way he “killed” the pins. His ability was so notable that he was inducted into the St. Louis Bowling Hall of Fame in 1987. Bill was a devoted family man who chose caring for his family over furthering his bowling career. He was an avid sports fan who enjoyed many outdoor activities, favorites including golf, or any other athletics his family was involved in.
In his younger years, Bill enjoyed BBQ, beer, bottlecaps, and washers. As he aged, Bill developed a taste for travel and all-inclusive vacations. Bill loved life, but most of all he loved his family. Bill was a role model to his family and to everyone whose lives he touched.
His quiet and humorous spirit will always live in our hearts.
