Trifun "Žare" Vidic, age 70, of Saint Louis, Missouri passed away at home on Friday, May 25, 2018. Žare was born January 10, 1948 in Benkovac, Croatia to Milica and Jandrija Vidic. Žare is survived by his wife, Nada; son Andrija (Suzana) Vidic; daughter Milica (Justin) Vogt; and daughter Patricija (Svetislav) Subotic; grandsons Stefan, Allen, Aleksandar and Teodor.
Žare was preceded in death by; father Jandrija, mother Milica and brother Andrija.
Žare was first and foremost a family man. He left everything he knew to come to the United States to give his children the chance for a better life. He took great pride in his children’s success, but nothing brought him more pleasure than his grandchildren. Žare also enjoyed watching sports, discussing politics and passionately defending his "correct" views. Žare was an avid reader, wrote poems for his family and enjoyed music from his native land. He will be missed greatly by family and friends around the world.
A visitation for Žare will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 1910 Serbian Dr, Saint Louis, MO 63104. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Church. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 1:00 PM in Mount Hope Cemetery, 1215 Lemay Ferry Rd, Lemay, MO 63125.
Tužnim srcem javljamo rođacima, kumovima, komšijama, prijateljima i poznanicima da je naš dragi i nikad prežaljeni, Trifun "Žare" Vidic, preminuo u kuci Maja 25,2018. Žare je rodjen Januara 10,1948 u Kuli Atlagic pored Benkovca od oca Jandrije i majke Milice.
OŽALOŠĆENI: supruga Nada, sin Andrija, kćeri Milica i Patricija, zetovi Justin i Svetislav, snaha Suzana, unuci Stefan, Alen, Aleksandar i Teodor.
Saučešće primamo u Srpskoj Pravoslavnoj Crkvi "Sveta Trojica" u St. Louisu 29.05.2018 od 9 do 12 časova i onda polazimo na groblje "Mount Hope" gdje će se obaviti sahrana u 1pm.
