Sally Goldberg

Sally Goldberg, beloved aunt, sister-in-law, and friend, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2024. She did not like being the center of attention but she should be honored.

Sally was born in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1938 to Max and Nettie Goldberg and had an older brother, Jack Goldberg.

Sally was a hard worker wherever she worked. She worked at the laundry of a nursing home for many years and then helped the hairdresser at her apartments both in St. Louis and Tampa, where she moved in 2007. When she could no longer sweep from haircuts or help remove perm curlers, she would make the clients a fresh cup of coffee.

Sally took special joy in caring for her birds, including Pretty Boy and then Lucy and Ricky. She was a friend to many and always made sure to treat her friends to little gifts of food or presents.

Sally was preceded in death by parents, Max and Nettie Goldberg, brother Jack Goldberg, and is survived by sister-in-law, Roberta Reed, Nieces Nancy Noonan (Mike), Michelle Dempsey (Mark) and Beth Bentley, Nephews Daniel Goldberg (Kim), Matthew Reed (Aimee) and Jay Reed (Mandy) and many grandnieces

and grandnephews who will never forget her quiet sweetness.

A graveside funeral service for Sally will be held Sunday, November 24, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 7500 Olive Blvd, University City, MO 63130.
