Ruth Ellen Kraus

Ruth worked as a social worker for the State of Missouri until her retirement at which time she moved to Weslaco, Texas. Throughout her life she enjoyed bowling, square dancing, and travelling.

Ruth is predeceased by her parents Philip T. and Katherine (nee' Hennekes) Roth; siblings, Lawrence Roth, Bernice (nee' Roth) O'Reilly, Marjorie Roth, Richard Roth, and son Carl Kraus.

She is survived by daughter Joan (nee' Kraus) Oatis, two sons Christopher Kraus and Gerard "Jerry" Kraus; two grandsons Jason (Christina) Oatis and Phillip Z. Jones, two great-granddaughters Olivia and Ella Oatis, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Special thanks to Dr. Hashim Raza and Crossroads Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Kidney Fund are greatly appreciated.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, September 6 at 10:30a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church 17 Joy Avenue, Webster Groves MO 63119, with a visitation from 9:30-10:30a.m. at the church. A luncheon in the church hall will follow Mass.
