Phyllis Elizabeth (nee Wilson) Huddleston,79, asleep in in Jesus on Thursday, December 18, 2024. She was born on August 20, 1945 at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond Heights, MO to Clarence and Pearl (nee Husemann) Wilson.
Phyllis was baptized into the Christian faith on September 9, 1945 at home by Rev. Theodore F. Walther, pastor at Grace Lutheran Church, Wellston, MO. Phyllis affirmed her baptismal faith in her confirmation on May 29, 1959 at Peace Lutheran Church, Woodson Terrace, MO.
Phyllis was married to Paul Cebert Huddleston on June 17, 1972 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, St. Louis, MO where Paul's cousin, the Rev. William Ameiss, officiated at the ceremony.
Phyllis was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod where she actively participated in Walther League, various ladies activities and where she avidly enjoyed Bible Study.
Phyllis worked as a secretary at Concordia Seminary for 4 1/2 years followed by 23 years as a secretary/administrative assistant in engineering at Western Electric-AT&T-Lucent Technologies and Alcatel-Lucent until her retirement in August of 2008.
Phyllis enjoyed many hobbies including genealogy research, photography, needlework, scrapbooking, visiting with friends, and most importantly, cherishing her two grandchildren, Ethan and Elizabeth Buttram.
Phyllis is survived by her husband, Paul C. Huddleston; daughter, Christine (Randy) Buttram; and grandchildren, Ethan and Elizabeth Buttram.
SERVICES: Visitation 3-5pm Sunday, December 22, 2024 Hoffmeister South County Chapel 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd., Lemay, MO and 9am until time of service at 10am Monday, December 23, 2024 at Peace Lutheran Church 737 Barracksview Rd., Lemay, MO.
Burial to follow in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery in St. Louis, 4209 Bates Street ,St.Louis,MO 63116.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Concordia Seminary Student Aid Fund, 801 Seminary Pl,
St. Louis, MO 63105 would be appreciated.
