Col. Milton A. Hoffman, Sr. USAFR (ret) born April 14, 1917 in Maeystown IL to Amanda and Fred Hoffman. Preceded in death by his wife, Jessie (Sargent) Hoffman, whom he married on Nov. 23, 1939; sister Beulah Didden and brother Norman Hoffman.
Beloved father of Milton A. (Jane) Fisler-Hoffman, Jr., Dennis E. (Diane) Hoffman, and Lisa (Terry) Noble; dear grandfather of Denny, Mark (Ruth), Debbie (Brendan), Amy, Denice, and Tom (Jessica); Dear great-grandfather of Jacob, Riley, Jordan, Olivia, Blake, Grant, Quinten, Sophia, Collin, and Noah.
Milton was a navigator of a B-17 in WWII and received the Distinguished Flying Cross. He was, above all, a devoted family man and a person of quiet faith. A Mizzou grad, he followed the Tigers and was a faithful Cardinal fan. Milton loved to tell corny jokes, and offering the kids a strong handshake. He and Jessie were smooth dancers, and his family pictures them dancing together again.
