Mary T. Krause

Mary was the beloved wife of the late Dave Krause; loving mother of Michelle (Ben Anderson) Krause and Nicki (Jesse) Huffman; devoted grandma of Ezekiel and Isaiah Huffman; dear sister of Thomas P. (Kathleen) McDermott, Dan (Mary Beth) McDermott, Patty (Stan) Bartell, Jim (Kathy) McDermott, Kevin McDermott, and John (Brenda) McDermott; dear sister-in-law of Bobbie Rogan and Irene Krause; dear aunt, great-aunt, cousin, and a friend to many in her lifetime.

Mary was proudly born and raised in Dogtown. She attended St. James the Greater Grade School and Bishop DuBourg High School. She met the love of her life, Dave, through friends from school and they married in 1977. Together they raised their daughters in Dogtown. Their daughters were the fifth generation to attend St. James.

Mary was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Blues fan. She loved to welcome people into her home for a big meal, and made sure they had lots of biscuits and gravy before heading out to enjoy the St. Patrick's Day festivities on Tamm Avenue. Most of all, she relished being a grandma to Ezekiel and Isaiah.

Mary struggled with MS for 26 years, which is why in lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

A Celebration of Mary's Life will be held at St. James the Greater cafeteria, 1360 Tamm Ave, 63139, on Saturday, August 14th at 2pm. Details will follow on social media.
