Mary A Greene

Mary Greene died peacefully in Creve Coeur on October 3, 2022 at the age of 94. She was born Mary Manchisi on May 18, 1928, in New York City. From her earliest years, Mary devoted her life to her family and friends, who meant the world to her. While attending school during her teen years, she also worked to help support a household that included her parents, three sisters, and a brother. In her early 20's, she referred her brother Pete's best friend, Tom Greene, for a job at the company she worked at in Manhattan. Not only did Tom get the job, he found his soulmate. Tom and Mary were married in 1955 and a decade later would transfer to St. Louis, where Mary later enjoyed a successful 30-year career in real estate.

The couple's 63 year marriage was enriched by six loving sons and 12 adoring grandchildren. Tom preceded Mary in death in 2018. Mary is survived by children: Thomas (wife Sally) of Columbia, Mo., William (wife Lisa) of Town and Country, Robert (wife Wendy) of Chesterfield, Richard of Creve Coeur, John (fiance Marcus Schult) of Wellington, FL., Stephen (wife Angela Cook) of Des Peres, and former daughter-in-law Dana of St. Charles. Beloved "Nanny" to 12 grandchildren: Zachary, Thomas (wife Katie), Julie, Allie, Kelly (husband Adam Curland), Mitchell, Wesley, Melanie, Clayton, Ryan, Sean, and Malcia. Treasured Great Grandmother to Sofia.

Services: Visitation Friday, 10/7, from 4-7 pm, Kriegshauser Mortuary West, 9450 Olive Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10/8, 10:00 am, Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 403 S. Lindbergh Blvd, 63131. Burial follows at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery, 740 N. Mason Rd. 63141.
