Mae D. Bickel

Mae D. Bickel, age 92, of St. Louis County, died April 16, 2016. She was the wife of George J. Bickel who preceded her in death. Mae was born May 13, 1923, in St. Louis, a daughter of George and Margaret Bollinger, nee Holtenaur. She is survived by her daughters Diane (John) Hansen and Judy (Leo) Gerdes; a loving friend, Clete Andres; grandchildren Darin (Ericka) Hansen, Scott (Tammi) Hansen, Mark (Brandy) Hansen and Hollie Miley. She was great grandmother of Tyler, Sarah, Ethan, Brady, Austin, Katie, Allison, Jace and George. Mae was preceded in death by sisters Viola, Dorothy, Gussie, Margie and Bernice.

Mae lived a full 92-year life, was a wonderful mother and mother-in-law who taught her children well. She was an avid reader, loved to sing and loved to dance the night away.

A funeral Service will he held at 10:30 am on Thursday, April 21, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63125. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 21. Memorial donations are suggested to Stray Rescue of St. Louis or Bethesda Evangelical Church S.M.Y.A.F.
