Joan G. Tucker

Joan was born 11/25/32 in Madison Wisconsin. Through her parents, Joan found a love for music and theater and followed that passion throughout her life. Joan graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Music degree in 1953. She was a member of Delta Zeta and Sigma Alpha Iota music sorority. During her time as a stay-home mother of 3, Joan spent considerable time supporting her children’s activities. Joan continued her love for music and found time as a volunteer at church directing the children’s choir. Joan later went on to teach music for several years in the Catholic School System in Jefferson City, MO.

Joan was also an avid bird watcher and enjoyed gardening. When visiting St. Louis, one of her favorite things to do was to visit The Botanical Garden.

Joan was quick witted, strong willed, and fiercely determined. Joan was proceeded in death by her son Daniel Tucker. Joan is survived by 2 sons Douglas Tucker, and his children Austin Tucker & Madison Tucker of Houston, Texas and Jeffery Tucker and wife Karen Tucker and their son Conner Tucker of Creve Coeur, MO.
