Joan Stewart

Joan Stewart, age 92, of Granger, Indiana passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Joan was preceded in death by her parents, William and Katherine Stover, her loving husband, Ralph Charles Stewart, her son, Robert John Stewart, her granddaughter, Caitlyn Ann Morley, and her grandson, Brett Michael Morley.

She is survived by her daughter, Gail Morley, her granddaughter, Melissa Gayle (Christopher) Scheetz, her grandsons, Robert Morley, and Jeremiah (Carrie) Richard, and her great grandchildren Megan Scheetz, Ryan Scheetz, Jordan Morley, Sophia Richard, and Tyler Richard.

Joan was a vibrant soul with a passion for life. She found joy in tap dancing, entertaining others, and participating in senior Olympics. Her active involvement in church activities brought her immense fulfillment, and she cherished the bonds she formed within her community. Joan’s social nature endeared her to many, and her radiant spirit lit up any room she entered.

A devoted fan of Mizzou football, Joan shared many memorable moments with her late husband, Ralph, as they traveled to Hawaii to support the team during the All-Star Hula Bowl Game.

Joan Stewart will be fondly remembered for her unwavering kindness, infectious laughter, and boundless love for her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Florence's memory may be made to Saint Paul Evangelical Church. The service will be a private ceremony.
