I met Jerry in 7th grade and never remember seeing him when he didn't have a smile and something positive to say.  He never complained about anything.  He always said he was getting better...

I was always surprised at the many places I ran into him:  The Fox, The History Museum, the gym....He was always involved in something.  He never gave up, and he never lost his kindness.

Thank you, Jerry.  I will miss you.

Your MRH friends will miss you,  What a wonderful person, always a joy to be around. We will miss you being on the committee's. Our special times together, going to dinner, seeing you at the Fox and having you for Xmas Eve. You will always have a special place in our hearts.

I had the pleasure of working with Jerry for many years at the Fox Theatre. He was always welcoming and warm to me, my mom (Marguerite), and my husband (Bob). Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

My name is Dee Dee Perrino and I grew up with Jerry Russell.  He was always kind, happy, funny, considerate and the best friend a fat little Italian kid could have.  He was loved by everyone he touched.  

I will always keep his presence and memory in my heart and be thankful that I had the blessing of knowing him. I know he is with God and I will say prayers for him and his family.  No matter what, we will always love you.

I met Jerry when we moved into the neighborhood in Nov. of '58. Being 4 years younger than Jerry it took several months before we became acquainted, but our neighborhood was different and encompassed many age groups among the kids... Jerry was in the center, a driving force for playing ball, and outdoors adventures...
We have managed for most of us to remain friends and to stay in touch all these years, we have lost a couple... now we lost another.

Jerry in the past months never let on that he was sick... "I am getting A little Better" he would say when we talked...  but 53 years later we are still friends...   Jerry I will miss you... so many good times... thank you... Hey maybe you and John can get a Card game going...

Be at peace... you will be remembered

Jerry and I go way back from Sunday School at Richmond Heights Presbyterian Church. He always called me Nance.  He was such a sweet and kind person. The world lost a wonderful Christian man and a friend to all of us.

Our deepest condolences. May the great memories of Jerry comfort you. The baseball team days with Greg were fun.

Jerry was a good friend and one of the niicest co-worker I have the pleasure working with at the Fox. He will be miss.

My condolences to all Jerry's family and friends. Jerry was an MRH classmate and friend. I was very glad to have had a chance to have a nice long visit with him at Jackie Swinnie's house on Christmas Eve 2005. He indeed will be missed, but I know that He is with his Heavenly Father.

Jerry was a good friend for many, many years. He exemplified courage throughout his life. We will miss him.

Jerry and I started Lyndover Kindergarden together followed by  Lyndover Grade school, MRH High School and UMSL college. Jerry was a great friend and gentleman. He lived with pain, survived with great courage. So sorry, the world has loss a true treasure.

I too, had the pleasure of working with Jerry at the Missouri History Museum.  His kind and thoughtful nature plus the beautiful smile is what comes to mind and what I will miss. What a sweet man!

My name is Paul Wasielewski and I work in accounting at the Historical Society. I became friends with Jerry when we went to the same gym. What an inspiration this man was. When I realized how sick he was I said prayers for him every time he came to mind. I asked others here to follow suit. Our prayers have been with him and will continue to be. Miss you, Jerry.

Jerry was one of my favorite people working at the History Museum, so kind, thoughtful, and sweet. His smile could always brighten my day! I feel so fortunate to have known him.

JR never said a bad word about anyone, always smiled through the pain and was an amazing father.  I'll miss your charm!

My dad was a great friend, mentor, teacher, and advisor to many.  He will definitely be missed by all of us.
