Frances Jeanne Flynn, age 92, of Webster Groves, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Born November 16, 1930 in Ewing, Illinois to the late Albert Webb and Grace Webb Ryal (nee Riggle); beloved wife of the late John Thomas Flynn for 43 years. Loving sister of Sue Web Browning (Sherman and the late Anne Webb; dearest sister-in-law of William Flynn; loving aunt of Raynee Lynn Goffinet, great aunt of Nicholas Goffinet and Hannah Goffinet; special cousin to Donna ( Mike) Willmann,Erin Bextermueller, Stuart (Brittany) Willmann; Naomi Willmann, Macie Bextermueller, Kiersten Bextermueller, Max Bextermueller, Owen Willmann, Jaxson Willmann, Addy Willmann and Audrey Mahr.
Jeanne received a Bachelor’s degree of science from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1952 and her Master’s degree in Language Arts from Webster University in 1970. After College she was hired by the University of Illinois as a Home Advisor (Affiliated with the Farm Bureau) for Randolph County Illinois.
After marrying John, they moved to St. Louis where she began a long career teaching for the Affton School District., retiring after 36 years of service.
Jeanne loved animals and volunteered at the St. Louis Zoo for many years, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Lota teachers sorority, she loved to travel and learn new things. She enjoyed reading, gardening, singing and birding. A terrible golfer but she enjoyed it anyway. She enjoyed sports especially the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Jeanne was fortunate to have a loving and caring family. A shout out to all who cared enough to spend time whe her. She was fortunate to have close friends, many who have preceded her to their final goal, we had some great times and a lot of laughs.
I tried to live my life by faith through Christ. Only Faith and my Savior's love carried me many times.
A visitation for Frances will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO 63125. A Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM. Burial to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
