Loving mother of Richard M. (Susan) Newell and Michele Ann Newell. Cherished grandmother of Amber (RJ) Breen, Gina Newell, Anna Newell, Justin Rossman and Nico Gusmano and great grandmother of Colton Breen.

Dearest sister of Pete (the late Sharon) Young and the late Peg (Gene) Griffin, Alice (survived by Don) Mertz, Bob (Irene), Mel Jr. (Rosemary), Joe (Mary), Doc (survived by Pat), and John (survived by Mary Ellen) Young.

Visitation to be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Road, St. Louis, MO.

Funeral service to be held on Thursday, May 25 at 8:45 a.m. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Following burial at Jefferson Barracks, family and friends are invited to gather at the Artillery Pavilion in Sylvan Springs Park for light food and to continue the Celebration of Eleanor’s life.
