Elaine P. Henkle

Henkle, Elaine P. (nee Polster) 98 years old of Webster Groves, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. Loving wife of the late John B. “Bunny” Henkle; beloved mother of Roger Erb, Sr.; dear gram-E of Roger, Jr., Trevor & Addie Erb; dearest sister of the late William & Kennett Polster & Letha Hardin; sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Elaine worked for many years with Midwestern Braille Volunteers preparing books for the blind. She also volunteered as a teacher’s aide at Edgar Road School.

SERVICES: Private services will be held with interment at Bellefontaine Cemetery. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Labre Indian School, Ashland, MT 59004 or to the Church of the Open Door, 9440 Big Bend Blvd.; Webster Groves, MO 63119.
