Debra L. Wolff, nee Owens, age 54, of St. Louis, left this Earthly life on August 29, 2017. She is the wife of John Wolff, who survives. Debra was born January 5, 1963, in O’Fallon, Mo., a daughter of Leamon and Rosemarie, nee Dean, Owens. She is also survived by children Kenneth (Sarah) Wolff and Amy (Eric) Tobin; grandchildren Jackson Wolff and Genevieve Tobin; siblings John Owens, Shirley Bauer, Donna Guthrey, and Judith Steele. She was preceded in death by a son Alex Wolff, daughter Kayla Wolff, and a brother Kenneth Owens.
Debra was active in Christian ministry lending a helping hand to her church, community and people in need. She was also all about her family, especially her grandchildren. She supported her family in all their endeavors, and although Debra had health issues from an early age, she did not suffer from them. She kept moving forward, no matter what, with the attitude of, “What’s the point if you’re not having fun?” At home she really enjoyed her small suburban farm complete with a garden, flowers, and chickens.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am, Friday, September 1, 2017, at Hoffmeister South County Chapel, 1515 Lemay Ferry Rd, St. Louis, Mo. 63125. Interment will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation is at the funeral home from 4-8 pm Thursday, August 31 and from 10:30 am until the time of service on Friday. Debra supported and was involved in many worthy organizations and charities, and so the family says if one is so inclined they may make a memorial donation in Debra’s memory to the charity of one’s choice.
