Charles H. "Charlie" Wahlman, age 83, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. He was born August 29, 1941, to Herman and Alvina (nee: Hartji) Wahlman. They have preceded him in death. He is survived by: his loving wife Joyce (nee: Damschroeder) of 44 years; Cousins: Ruth Ann Welge, Carol Durkee; sister-in-law Maureen Kustermann; nephews: Tim Kustermann, Todd Kustermann (Kelly); great nephews and niece: Dakota Hopper, Elizabeth Kuhl, Drake Kustermann (Rachel); numerous great-great nieces and nephews: Amara Hopper, Grayson Hopper, Ariana Kuhl, Carter Kuhl, Dalylah Hopper, Opal Kustermann, Karma Hopper, and Keneli Martin; and other relatives and friends.
Charlie grew up in Chester Illinois where he attended a Lutheran grade school. He received a BS degree in accounting from Washington University and had a seventeen-year career working for Concordia Publishing House. Following a few more classes at Washington University, he continued in real estate appraising working for the county until 1989, then he became self-employed until his retirement.
Charlie was a devoted Lutheran who lived by his faith. He also had multiple interests including: a love for exercise, reading and learning new things, he loved driving fast cars (even went racing in Vegas on the raceway.) He enjoyed time with family and friends, was in a card club called RIMEL. He enjoyed traveling all over the world with his wife and family.
