Cecile Elizabeth McSalley, age 85, of St. Louis, Missouri, passed away on Friday, February 17, 2023. Cecile was born November 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Jacob and Agatha Wilhelm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Milton “Pat” McSalley, her daughter, Shawn Blaes, sister, Jean (Paul) Duenwald, brothers; Robert (Lois) Wilhelm, Louis (Shirley) Wilhelm, and Herbert Wilhelm, and sister-in-law, Joan McSalley.
Those left to cherish her memory include her bother, Thomas (Kathy) Wilhelm, sister-in-law, Betty Wilhelm and sons; Patrick (Rhonda) McSalley and Brien (Nicole Rios) McSalley and son-in-law Michael Blaes. She was a loving grandmother to, Alex Blaes, Kyle (Katie) Blaes, Patrick, Jr. (Jackie) McSalley, Ian (Carolyn) McSalley, Megan (Vincent Jones) McSalley, Aidan, Sean, and Lili McSalley.
Cecile was dedicated to her family, they meant everything to her. She cherished her family vacation, especially to Table Rock Lake in Missouri. Cecile enjoyed spending time volunteering at her daughter’s boutique, Go Figure Skate in Webster Groves. Her willingness to help others was displayed through her work with the non-for profit-organization, St. Louis Ovarian Cancer Awareness, in honor of her daughter Shawn.
A Celebration of life for Cecile will occur on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5:30 PM- 7:30 PM at Llywelyn's Pub, 17 Moody Avenue, Webster Groves, Missouri 63119. Cecile will be laid to rest with her beloved, Pat at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Missouri.
