Over a year later we have found out of the passing of Robert.  We were so sad and wish we could have known earlier. Although we are across the country Robert remains close to our hearts and in our thoughts always with many fond childhood memories.
Debbie, we are sorry we did not know until now and send you our thoughts and prayers as Robert will be missed.  We hope that you and the children are doing as best as possible and feel extremely sad for everyone.

Deborah, as I look through the photos you've posted, I'm told a story of a friend who loved anything to do with mechanics ~ a daredevil ~ a loving husband and father to you and your beautiful family and the one thing that stands out the most is how happy he is.

Every now and then we come across a person that strikes us in a different manner, that somehow teaches us life lessons without a spoken word, someone that exemplifies « lead by example » that's what Robert was to me. If you paid attention you would see that his quite demeanor was mindful, a willing simplicity, infectious and comforting. I'm extremely proud to call him my brother in law, now and for the rest of my days. The courageous and exhausting battle he fought speaks directly to my heart about what he held precious in his life, his wife and their 3 beautiful kids. He fought to the death. It's a reminder to us all what our lives are all about; family and loved ones. You can now rest in peace Robert, you leave us with our memories of you which will not quickly dissipate.
