Sighart "Michael" Jakubowski

Sighart “Michael” Jakubowski was born April 17, 1927 and passed away May 16, 2020. Michael is survived by his children Roxanne, Michelle and stepdaughter Pam; grandchildren Jason (fiancé Melissa), Nicholas,Lauren (Mike), Kevin and step grandchildren Zachary and Alex; and great grandchildren Emily and John. He is predeceased by his wives Sally Ann Jakubowski, Sandra Wilson and children Denise and Carrie.

Michael was a Navy Veteran and served his country during World War II and the Korean War. He was a life time member of the VFW post 1146. On November 16, 1989 Michael was commissioned as a minister of service, serving the Archdioceses of Detroit for many years. He was the Chaplin at Emerald City Boat Club and was known as Chaplin Mike at Windemere Park Senior Community since 2006. Michael became a resident at Windemere Park in 2016.

There will be a private family burial at Christian Memorial Cemetery. A memorial mass at St. Michael Catholic Church will be held at a later date.
