John Brian Atkinson

John Brian Atkinson, age 98, of St. Clair Shores, Michigan passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024. He was born on March 17, 1926, to parents Joseph and Winnifred Atkinson. Beloved husband of 59 years to the late Katherine Atkinson. Loving father to Dennis (Dawn) Atkinson, Doug (Suzanne) Atkinson, and Anne (Mark) Schmidt. Grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother to Jim Atkinson, Frank (Sadie) Atkinson, Pat Lucier. Father In Law to Tom Liegghio and Pat McCabe. John was preceded in death by both parents, his daughters Peggy Liegghio, Mary McCabe, and his siblings Josephine Sartor, Geraldine Gardiner, and Mike Atkinson.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 14, 2024, beginning with a gathering at 11:00 am, until time of service at 11:30 am, at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 21100 Madison Street, St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.

Visitation will take place on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, with a Rosary at 7:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of John are suggested to St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church.
