James Patrick Scheid

Scheid, James Patrick Age 73 of Sterling Heights Michigan passed away on March 23, 2015. James P. Scheid was born in Detroit, Michigan, the son of John and Ethel Scheid. James enjoyed many things, he loved to golf with his work friends and family. After his retirement he would joke that he and his 3 other friends were often referred to as the geriatric four, he also went golfing often with his brother-in-law and sister Tom and Pat Lambrou. James was an avid Red Wings fan and also coached and refereed amateur hockey. He also was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and had earned expert marksmen status in target shooting. Just recently James started taking his only grandson, Jimmy P. Scheid II target shooting at local gun ranges. Jimmy loved going with his grandpa and listening to some of grandpa's great stories from his youth, but really loved shooting his grandpa's 357 Colt Python pistol. Another thing James did on a regular basis was to have breakfast with Tom and Pat Lambrou and other friends and family at Friendly's, a local restaurant in Eastpointe, Michigan.

Prior to his Retirement, Chrysler corp. employed him as a Tool & Die maker for approx 38 years at various Chrysler plants in Detroit, Mi. He is survived by his Ex wife Diane Scheid, 4 children Kelly Jean Bond, John Michael Scheid, Lori Ann Kolar and Jason James Scheid and his 7 grandchildren Gabrielle Raven Huron, Katelin Hope Bond, Madeline Darling Bond, Angelica Jayne Huron, James Patrick Scheid II, Brianna Faith Kolar, Dominic Coppage, Jessica Rose Scheid. He is also survived by brother John T. Scheid and sister Patricia Lambrou. Viewing will be held Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 2-8pm with a rosary service from 7-8pm, church services will be at St. Angela Catholic Church at 10am. Memorial contributions in James name may be made to The American Heart Association.
