James S. Lackey Jr., age 82, of St. Clair Shores passed away on October 4, 2018. He is the proud son of the late James Lackey Sr. and Daisy Lackey. James is the loving husband of Laura Lackey of 63 years. He is the beloved father of Denise (Ronald) Glashauser, Dina Kevern, Dennis (Karen) Lackey, and Derek (Rene’) Lackey. James is the cherished grandfather of 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. James was a veteran of the United States Army where he proudly served as a Sp3 Sharpshooter. He belonged to many organizations throughout his life time. James was a licensed journeyman plumber for local 98. James was also a Past Master of the Masons Jefferson Lodge 553. He was a long time member of the Shriners and he belonged to the Jesters. He was also a Past Patron of the Jefferson 489 Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday October 9, 2018, beginning with a gathering at 10:00 am until time of Service at 11:00 am, at Christ Church of Fraser 34385 Garfield Road, Fraser, Michigan 48026. Family will receive friends on Monday October 8, 2018, from 3:00pm – 9:00pm, with a Shriners walk through at 6:45pm and a 7:00pm Masonic Blue Lodge Service. Burial will take place on Wednesday October 10, 2018, at Great Lakes National Cemetery 4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442, at 1:30pm, all are welcome.
