Greg was a great great guy I knew him quite a while back in the '80s 1980s. My deepest regrets and condolences too any of his family and friends. He will be missed by many people!!

May I offer my sincerest condolences on the passing of my friend Greg Bowden.
Greg was a stellar guy.  He was kind to others, and felt deeply the loss of a friend.
He freely shared his knowlege and often regaled us with stories of his remarkable trading.
What else can I say... I will miss Greg very much... and honor his memory hereafter.

Too many fond memories to express. So many travels, shared interests and so much  laughter.
 I can't believe your gone.
You are forever in my heart dear Greg.

Needless to say Sid and I were shocked to hear the news of Greg's sudden passing.  We planned to leave Minnesota at noon today to get to the service tommorow.  Unfortunately Sid woke up not feeling well.  That, in combination with the Chicago snow storm we have opted to not make the trip.  

Greg was truly a great friend and a swapmeet brother. Your wealth of knowlege, sense of humor and presense will be  greatly missed at every swapmeet.  That being said... you will be there in spirit as we relive so many memories of all those wonderful years together.  There will be much laughter as we raise a glass of our German Bier in your memory!  

Say Hi to Dirk!   As much as we wish you were still here I am grateful you and Dirk are reunited and doing deals at that Great Swapmeet in the sky!

Greg you taught me so much. I missed your call because I was sick. I called and left a voicemail a day late.  You had motorcycles and memorabilia collection like no other. Miss you Greg.

The news of your passing shocked me. I have a lot of memories Greg, we will all miss you very much.

I was shocked to see of Greg's passing. He somehow found out my dad owned an old Harley years ago. My dad would tell me about this guy who would come to visit him and would always try to get my dad to sell his bike to him (which he never did). They formed a unique friendship. I finally had to check "this guy" out and that's how I came to meet him. Greg even came to visit my dad in his last days and attended his funeral. Greg also always lovingly talked about taking care of his mom. He was a genuinely caring person. My condolences to his family.

God Bless the Bowden family of the passing of Greg. He sure will be missed by all of us in the Antique Motorcycle Club. Happy hunting my friend

Greg was part of the Maple Park Gang when we were young teenagers!! About 15 of us would hang out and talk and play games and a couple would ride in on motorcycles, including Greg! Lots of memories, laughter and a few tears!! RIP Greg!!

Greg was a dear friend to so many of us. He taught me so much about some passion we shared about old junk. In the later years of our friendship, we talked less about primarily old motorcycles and memorbillia, and much more about love, loss and how to be better.  We came to a place together in life where we yearned together to be better. Much better. During this time of my life with Greg.  I learned more than the prior 15-20 year of all the early day swap  meets, trading rusty piles of parts and trying to frame unframeable  paper.. “good enough”.  And I can tell you that Greg made some huge inroads suing this time. Not always when or how or even why, but he did.it from his heart.  And those triumphs amongst adversity fueled a paaaion for him in him life that I had never seen Before.   Be blew the line and line  talked  about love, religion , relationships and our shortcomings.  Our mistakes. We talked about all of it and then decided to make plans to hold ourselves to doing better.  Like you, I Will miss my friend, the fun we had  and the occasional tears we shared.  You were always there for me when I needed you most. I know our late son Ryan was there to welcome you into the kingdom.  We love you bro- Big time, and are eternally  grateful to our Lord for blessing us with you.  Please watch over us all bro. Anthony, Val,  Ed, Patrick and Ryan Rutledge,  and, if your looking for me, I will be in the parking lot counting large paper bags a cash. Love ya Bodes.

Greg was part of the "Maple Park gang", a group of friends and people that lived in the same area of SCS Maple/10 Mile and Greater Mack.   Greg was liked by all....   the first compost I ever learned about was at his home...it amazed me...they had great gardening skills.    I enjoyed Greg's photos of the motorcycles and cars.

Greg was a great friend and a wealth of knowledge. He will be missed deeply by many who had the pleasure of knowing him. My friendship with him goes back 35 years and always enjoyed talking with and spending time together! He was always there for anyone who needed help or knowledge.  I pray that he is riding something really cool, looking down on us all!
