Gertrude Pauline (Polly) Wilson (née Conrad) was born in Hanging Limb TN (near Crawford) as the second of five girls to James and Lena Conrad. Polly grew up in St. Clair Shores and graduated from Lakeview high school 1950. Polly became a single mom in 1968, raising six children. In August '68 she went to work for AT&T (Michigan bell) as an engineering layout clerk, she worked in this capacity until her retirement in 1994 after 26 years. Polly was a proud member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church on Union Lake Road, Clinton Twp MI.
Polly always stated her greatest accomplishment in life was her children: Adele (Ron), Keith (Anne), Kevin (Rachel Johnstone), Guy/Vernon (Darlene), Janet (Jerry Bolton) and Joel (Kris).
12 Grandkids: Kelly Thomas, Mandy (Rick) Winchester, Cyndi, Christie (Dale) O’Brien, Danny Wilson, Sarah Wilson, Kaytie Wilson, Lisa Wilson, Chuck (Ashley) Froehlich, Jessica Wilson, Cody Wilson and Owen Wilson.
14 Great grandkids: Taya, Myles, Ricky, Jaxon, Trenton, Alex, Ryleigh, Ava, Jack, Teddy, Ava, Quinn, Kiera, and Gavin.
Sisters: Louise (James) Mann, Carol (Bill) Boyne, Shirley (Joe) Nadolsky, and Janet (Gary) Greene.
Loved by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents James & Lena Conrad, her daughter Adele and her husband Ron Caudill and her sisters Shirley & Carol.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Martha T Berry Foundation.
Casual attire, in her memory wear Red Wing or Tigers gear.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday September 29, 2023, beginning with a gathering at 10:00 am until time of service at 11:00 am, at Kaul Funeral Home 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores, Michigan 48081.
Visitation will take place on Thursday September 28, 2023, from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at the funeral home.
