Francis Anne (nee Patterson) Blackaby, age 91, of Chesterfield, MI formerly St. Clair Shores and Roseville, MI and Chariton, IA. She was reunited with her beloved husband William on August 30, 2022. Loving mother of Chuck (Kelly), Paul (Donna), Ken (Kim), Doug (Therese). Grandmother to 13, Hilary (Dwayne) Coffman, David (Mindy), Mark (Kristy), Shannon, Erin, Susan Yonka, Heather (Dalton) Achatz, Nicole, Joey, Jake, Michelle (Casey Feys), Allison (Justin Batayeh) and Josh.
Great Grandmother to 13, Andrea, Trent, Madelyn, Brantley, Emmett, Elizabeth, Sophia, Brielle, Ally, Nate, Tala, Colton and predeceased by Jack. Sister to surviving siblings, Virginia Wachenheim, Patricia (Jim) Powers, and sister-in-law Gertrude Patterson. Also survived by her extended family and friends Becky (Warren) Reeves, Evelyn (Mike) Kaiser and Dave (Amber) Yonka. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends as well.
Born July 6, 1931 at the family farm in Melrose, Iowa, the ninth child of Carl and Blanche Patterson. She was predeceased by her parents, siblings Darlene (Homer) Jennings, Willard (Jan) Patterson, Virgil Patterson, Mary Patterson, Becky (Jerry) Wells, Eddie Patterson, Lee Wachenheim, Frank (Lois) Patterson, Blanche (Robert) Pflaum, Charles Patterson, and Geraldine Chaplin.
Graduated from Chariton High School in Chariton, Iowa. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was active with Violet Elementary Schools and working in the computer room and other activities while her children went to school. She was a former member of the Civil Air Patrol (3-2), an active member of the DAR in the Alexander Macomb Chapter and was a Deacon and active member of the former Erin Presbyterian Church in Roseville, MI.
Visitation will be held Friday September 2, 2022 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm, at Kaul Funeral Home, 28433 Jefferson Ave., St. Clair Shores.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Saturday September 3, 2022 beginning with a gathering at 9:00 am until time of service at 10:00 am.
Burial will be held at Clinton Grove Cemetery.
