It's March 1 today and I'm just seeing this.  I happen to stumble onto Facebook from another church's online website somehow.  Otherwise I'm not in Facebook.  To the family of my dearest Darlene Czop, whom I was blessed enough to have met during the charasmatic movement in the 70's.  Funny, I'm only learning now with what God began in Asbury and now with the movie   out, Jesus Revolution....that it was all the same move of God !!! Praise be to Jesus !!!  Darlene was a huge part of my experience in giving my life over to The Lord, back then (in my youth)..wow memories flooding back.....What a blessing she was ....praying preaching teaching healing!!!  I thank God for the profound impact she had on me in my young days....that remains with me today.  When she arrived at the pearly gates, I know she heard, "well done my good and faithful servant".  

Mrs. Czop may you rest in peace knowing that you made the world a much better place than you found it. Thank you for your unflagging faith in our Lord and savior.  God speed.

As a life-long friend of Jan (Czop) Boswell, I knew “Mrs. Czop” since I was a small child.  I recall her as a cheerful, funny, warm, and unique woman who never hesitated to express her love and support for her family, church, friends, animals,  and community. Darlene was a good friend to me.  Over time she became my “spiritual mother,” sharing her wisdom and faith.  I will miss her, but I am confident that she is enjoying her heavenly home.  St. Darlene, pray for us.

I'm very sorry to hear about the passing of Mrs. Czop.  I remember her as the joyful and upbeat soul she was.  Perpetually happy, compassionate, and caring.  Except, of course, when four knuckleheads (John, Mark, Doug and Tom) were acting up in the backyard and she came charging out of the back door wielding her wooden spoon! Rest in peace gentlelady, we pray for your repose and for comfort for the Czop family.  We are all better for having known you.

I am so sorry to read about Darlene. She was a sweet, empathetic, and caring person! She was mom to a childhood friend (Kathy) as well as my former coworker at a law firm and a friend. Her pleasant and caring demeanor was universal, for all who knew her. I will miss her! I'm sorry and send prayers for her and her family.

So sorry for the loss of  Darlene Czop. She was  so kind  and had a sweet smile. Prayers for her family.

I have known Darlene for many years. She was a joyful, compassionate, prayerful minister of God’s gentle persistent love. She loved God and Mary and loved to assure others that God loved them dearly as His beloved child. Our hearts are always longing to hear and be assured of that truth. I am grateful that the Lord allowed our lives to intersect. I now live in Hawaii with my daughter and her family and my contact with Darlene over the past seven years has been more sporadic but always good, always a joy. I will continue to pray that she will soon be welcomed into the presence of the Lord she loved in life and that if she is spending time in Purgatory it will be short. My condolences and blessings to the family she leaves behind. Such a soul leaves a big hole in the lives of those she leaves behind. 

Darlene was a true inspiration at the Servants of Love prayer meetings.   She faithfully prayed for me as I progressed in my vocation as a Felician Sister.  When I worked in downtown Detroit in my twenties,  I sometimes took the Harper Semta Bus and would see her on the bus.  She was a great Christian friend .  My sincere sympathy and prayers for her family.  

Darlene was always there to pray over people at the end of mass. I thought she had a special gift for that. 
May she join the celestial choir. Our condolences to Joe and Jan especially. 


Over the years, Darlene never tired of telling me, in words similar to this, that:
God loves you so-o-o much;  nothing
you have done, can make him love you less;
don't be afraid;  bring your hurts and wounds to Him;  you are His beloved; He longs for you!!!  Come to Him with everything you are--and He will fulfill the deepest desires of your heart; you have a tender Father, Who
loves you, His dear child, unconditionally, and passionately!!!

Darlene.  Her words, her smile, her humor
we're healing, and life-giving!!!

So very sorry about Darlene’s passing! She was so much an inspiration to everyone she came into contact with! She was so much  active in the Charismatic Renewal! She always had that smile! Eternal rest grant unto her soul O lord and let perpetual light shine upon her!
