Passed away suddenly in his home on Monday, November 19, 2012 after a long and happy life filled with the people and things he loved; family, a thirst for knowledge, travel, a game of pool, or a lively discussion of politics. Always quick with a joke or a home cooked meal, Ron will be dearly missed by family and friends alike. Ron’s many interests and accomplishments include organist and choir director in a number of local churches, a mid-life return to university to obtain his Bachelors and Masters degrees, involvement in labour and social causes as well as local, provincial and national politics, an on-going love-hate relationship with technology, and a fondness of British humour and drama. Ron is loved and will be missed by his wife of 51 years, Margaret, their children Kimberley (Brad Saxton) and Tyler (Florence Ho), his cherished grandsons William and Aiden and his sister Joanne (Colonel Bruce Gilchrist) and her family.
Family and friends are invited to visit the family home at 388 Linwell Rd, on Thursday, November 22nd between 12 and 7 p.m. and again on Friday, November 23, 2012 from 1 – 2 p.m. at the HULSE & ENGLISH FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 75 Church St. (905)-684-6346. A Celebration of Ron’s life will immediately follow in the chapel at 2 p.m. with a reception at the family home to follow. Memorial donations to the Heart & Storke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online condolences may be made at www.hulseandenglish.com
