Entered into rest after a life full of many blessings surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, February 10, 2023 at St. Catharines General Hospital. May, at the age of 91 was the beloved wife and eternal dance partner of the late William Murdoch Brown. Proud and devoted mother of Alan William Murdoch Brown and Gillian (Mark Reynen). Treasured and loving “Grama” of Heather (Jared King), Hailey (Joe Davis), Teigher Brown all of Niagara Falls, Alex Reynen and Jacob Reynen both of Port Dalhousie. Cherished and adoring “Gigi” of Finn and Lily Davis both of Niagara Falls. May is predeceased by her dear parents; William and Mary McIntyre and by her only brother William McIntyre. Forever remembered by her relatives and friends.
May loved being active and started playing badminton in 1968, as a member of St. Andrew’s Church Badminton Club (Adult and Junior). For more than 40 years, May coached “her kids”, enjoying every game until she was 80 and hung up her racket. To this day, she always called them “her kids”. May’s life was dedicated to her family, who find peace and comfort in their incredible memories. Bill and May have reunited, dancing again in Heaven.
Family and friends are invited to a gathering to celebrate May’s life on Sunday, February 19, 2023 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Port Dalhousie Lions Club, 201 Main Street, St. Catharines, with a special sharing of memories at 2:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will be held at Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, Fonthill.
Memorial donations to the Port Dalhousie Beautification Society or to the Port Dalhousie Lions Club would be appreciated by the family.
