Ron, it is coming up on a year that you have been gone. You deserved at least two more decades and a happy life. Viet Nam took so much away from you, and now you have been taken from the life you so richly deserved. You took a piece of our hearts with you when you slipped away on July 26, 2012. Your friends, past and present, will never forget you, and I will always be one of them.

I did not know Ron well, but I knew he was one of the good ones.  I am keeping him and you in my prayers.  I wish you peace.

I met Ron when he dated and married my friend Judy. I never saw her happier than when they were together. He was such a good man to her and to all who met him. When I moved away from St. Louis I never worried about Judy because she had the perfect partner. I'm so glad they got the time together. It was just too short. Ron will be sorely missed. I love you both.

My grandpa was a very smart man.One thinghe taught me was to love life and accept what happens because everything has a reason.I just wish I could talk to him more.To me he is a giant teddy bear made with love.I miss you but most of all I love you.

Ron was one of our oldest & dearest friends.  He was a very special man.  We will never forget all the good times we shared.  He will always be in our hearts.  Thinking of his family every day, knowing life is not as full, without him in it.

Judy and family...I can't think of anyone that deserved a spot in Heaven more then Ron. He has touched the lives of all who knew him.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

Ron will be missed, he was a kind, gentle, considerateand funny man, in a devilish way. He loved helping all of us and never said a bad word about anyohe. To his family, my deepest condolences. He loved all of you so very much.

Judy--We are going to miss Ron, after working with Ron in the Twa/American bagroom for many years. I can say he was one of best people i ever worked with and always thought of him as a true friend.

To modify a TV show title, "Everybody Loves Ron"  It is so true! He knew when he married Judy, he gained the sisterhood of friends.  We are quite a group but he loved spending time with us even through our craziness. I will dearly miss my "Big Brother".  He was such an inspiration to everyone and the love of Judy's life.  God Bless you, Ron!  You will always hold a special place in our hearts!

My deepest sympathy goes out to the all of the family. I have known Ron for over 40 years, I worked with him, lived with him, played with him, worked together as Union rep.'s, Vacationed together. Although much time has separated us since our days working together at Ozark Airlines in Cedar Rapids, I still considered him a dear friend.  Ron and I roomed together after his return from Vietnam.  Although we didn't talk much about the experience, it was obvious it had a profound effect on his life. As others have expressed, I will remember Ron as a very kind and considerate man. My husband Larry Pohlman was Ron's first cousin.  On many occasions during our marraige Larry has talked about his best buddy cousin Ron and all the fun times they had as children playing together.  Ron's brother Bob was always there too, and together, they got into a lot of mischief, especially with Ron and Bob's sisters, Susan and Sandy.  
As an adult we remember him as a quiet soft spoken guy with a very big heart!

I worked with Ron for several years with TWA and American Airlines at Lambert Field. He was a great guy to work with and we became good friends over time.  He and I were both veterans of Viet Nam and we shared that experience together.  We send our condolences to Ron's family and he truly will be missed by all that knew him.
