Roderick Lloyd Westeen, age 92, of St. Louis County, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021. Roderick was born May 17, 1929, to Lloyd and Mildred (nee: Treloar) Westeen. They have preceded him in death, as have his wife: Norma J. (nee: Shelman) Westeen; his sons: Mark Steven and Gregory Scott Westeen; and a brother: James Westeen (Carol survives). Rod is survived by his children: Linda J. (Dale L.) Anthon, Robert L. (Sherry) Westeen, and Cynthia A. (Shawn) Yancey; grandchildren: Nicholas L. (Ashley) Anthon, Ashley M. (Patrick) Skornia, Robert L. Westeen, Alexander T. Bereyso, and Madison E. Yancey; great-grandchildren: Jack Anthon, Audrey Anthon, Lydia Anthon, Bohdan Skornia, and Remington Skornia; his brother: Kendall (Grace) Westeen; sister-in-law Sharon S. Rich. He was a loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Rod served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict, and was a past member of the American Legion, Post 397. He was a member Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. He enjoyed the outdoors, particularly being on his farm hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed camping and boating.
Rod will be laid to rest privately at Bellerive Gardens Cemetery at a later date with his beloved wife Norma.
