Mary Alice Haynes

Mary Alice was the second oldest child of her siblings. She graduated from Soldan High School. Soon after she began work at Kisco in Wellston until her calling in Christ. Mary stopped work to focus her life on serving the Lord, Jesus Christ, and her raising her daughter. During that time, she began working as a nanny to the Berry family. Mary worked for the Berry’s, Tim and Terry, until their three children started school and gained independence. She was a dedicated member of Solomon’s Temple Christian

Church until her illness made her homebound. Mary always remained strong in faith, believing the good Lord would soon deliver her from the bondage in her body. Mary exercised faith in all things. She was a sanctified and Holy Ghost filled woman for over 40 years. Her friends all knew her as a Prayer

Warrior.

On April 16, 2017, Mary Alice departed this life leaving behind her only daughter, Lawanika (Michael) Weems; Two grandchildren, Tawanika and Rico Williams; Goddaughter, Annitrya Davis; Two brothers, Larry Butler and Tim Haynes; and one sister, Earleen Gore. Mary has four brothers and one sister who preceded her in death, Howard Haynes, Felix Haynes, Raymond Haynes, George Gore, and Gwendolyn Hoskin. Mary Alice also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
