Joseph G. "Joe" Wilson, of Overland, Missouri passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Georgia Wilson (nee: Tong) for 69 years. Devoted father of Donna (Jim) Ford, Carolyn (Steve) Laube, Robert (Denise) Wilson, and George (Rochelle) Wilson; proud grandfather of Sarah (Melissa) Ford, Tom (Melissa) Ford, Dan (Casey) Ford, Rebecca (Neil) Schleeper, Beth (Darrell) Langston, Janine (James) Moreland, Brian Wilson, Ryan (Melissa) Hegger, Shawn Hegger, Kaycee Nelson, and the late Christopher Hegger; loving great grandfather of Amelia, Henry, and Eloise Schlepper, Jacob, Samantha, Cassandra, and Joseph Langston, Whinry and Sabrina Ford, Conner and Tristen Fairley, Jayden, Austin, and Lilliana Hegger, Landen Nelson, and the late Ethan Hegger. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, John and Grace Wilson, and siblings, Martha, John, and Gracie. Joe will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends
Joe proudly served his country in the US Air Force and Missouri National Guard during the Korean War. A man of faith, Joe was a deacon and long and loyal member of Overland Christian Church. Joe's career as a pattern maker spanned many years with McDonnell Douglas, Central Pattern, and Granite City Steel.
Joe was active in the Boy Scouts, and was very talented mechanically, making a camper and action Christmas displays. He had a love of flying and constructed and flew his own experimental plane. Joe had a long and remarkable life and will be missed greatly by those who survive him.

A visitation for Joe will be held Monday, February 6, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Alexander - White - Mullen Funeral Home, 11101 Saint Charles Rock Road, St. Ann, MO 63074, followed by a memorial service at 1:30 PM, with urn burial following at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.
