Dormal, the most wonderful human being put on this earth.   She inspired me.   She was the only person who came to see me when my son was so ill.  she was an angel on earth.   Proud of her faith and family, she was special to me.   I bought angels for Christmas, her birthday and told her she was the best angel known to all.

I miss you Dormalee!!   I love you.

Dormalee was filled with love and joy.  Her spirit of happiness would reach out to anyone who was with her.  She was a wonderful mom, grandmother, great grandmother and the best mother-in-law I could ever have.  She welcomed me into the family with open arms.  I remember going to a family reunion in Salem, and she introduced me to everyone who attended - all 200 of them!  She made the best homemade apple and cherry pies.  She loved me with unconditional love, and I loved her.  Dormalee had faith in the Lord and prayed for all of us.  Someday I will see her again when I go to Heaven, and she'll be there with open arms telling me "Welcome Home!"

Anyone who knew grandma would remember her for her joy, happiness, and love. She was the one who would greet you at the door with the most excitement you’ve ever seen (bouncing and claps included!)! She was beyond selfless, making sure everyone was always cared for, fed, and happy. She welcomed anyone and everyone with open arms, was there to cheer you on, and a shoulder to cry on. Her house was filled with pictures of her family and if you ever talked to her, she could update you on all of us. Her family meant the world to her, and she meant the world to us. Her presence and love will be missed beyond compare. You are loved more than you know Grandma. Forever and always until I see you again.

She was the sweetest lady I know. We loved going to visit her. And she always had a big smile. She always wanted to feed us when we came. So precious and kind. She will be missed so much. 

Aunt Dormalee you will be missed. Some memories that I remember are of our Christmas together every year and you saying it can snow on the grass but not on the roads. One family had to travel to Salem or to St. Louis. This was a very big event every year. Then our Family reunion every year  at either Merimac Springs  or Merimec park. We had some wild Wiffle Ball games. I TY was a fun filled day with family. Now you were my last Aunt left..and tho we were far apart you will be missed. I know your with Uncle Don and Mom and Dad and having the time of your life, but do me a favor and tell Mom and Dad I will be along soon as my days are getting shorter. Love you!

One of my most favorite childhood memories was going to Uncle Don & Aunt Dormalee’s for Christmas! There was so much “magic” in that house! She will be so missed!!

My Mother, My friend, My anchor. She was a beautiful, kind soul and I miss her dearly. She taught me to have patience, respect, and keep God in my life. We laughed often and genuinely enjoyed being together. She’s the person I could laugh with or cry with. I am honored to call her my Mother. She is with Dad now and her dreams have come true. 

I have not the words to describe what this AMAZING LADY meant to me. A book would not begin to cover it! She welcomed me as a daughter the first time we met and my love has grown from there. She was a friend, confidant, but most of all a Mom. She showed me what it  looked like to truly be a lady, wife and Mother. Her heart was so full of LOVE for all I was afraid it would burst! I will hold dear in my heart all she has taught and given to me and always be grateful for the things she by example taught me! The love she gave to me when I needed it most was one of life's greatest gifts. She was the one who changed my life and her loss  will yet change it again. How many ways can you tell someone you love them...it will never be enough!  Thank you with all that I am!

Sweet Aunt Dormalee, you will be greatly missed.  I will never forget the many Christmas gatherings we had at your and Uncle Don's house.  Between all the yummy food, sliding down the stairs, playing games and the many train stories, I will have many memories to cherish forever.  Love you always!!

I’ll start by saying that Don Nash was most likely my mother’s (Erma Nash) favorite cousin. He was, as anyone who knew him will tell you, a most unique and delightful man.  But I cannot ever imagine in my mind Don without Dormalee. They were the most complete set of two human individuals ever imagined. Some of my fondest memories as a very young man, were of visits with Don and Dormalee with my family. I’ll never forget the laughter, but more than that, I’ll never forget the ever present smile, warmth, and love I always felt from Dormalee. I don’t know if I’ll ever meet a sweeter, or kinder Christian woman  than Dormalee Nash, but I know that I’m a much better man for having known her, and I’m so blessed to have had her as part of my family. I met Dormalee years ago when I worked at Pattonville.  Her desk was near mine and we would chat.  She kept framed photos of Donna and Ron on her desk and I asked her if her daughter went to Pattonville.  She said yes and I told her my brother did too and Dormalee said, “maybe you can give your brother my phone number and he can give Donna a call”.  Well  the rest is history! Donna and Terry did meet and after that, the Nash’s were family.  I remember going to their house and Don and Terry would play the banjo and mandolin and sing hillbilly songs.  Dormalee would get a kick out of all us kids and she had the greatest laugh!  The kind of laugh that, just hearing her, would make me laugh! I’ll always remember her laughing and enjoying her family.  

Aunt Dormalee was one of the Sweetest and Most Kind person I ever met in my Life. I removed as a child is going to the city A lot because Travis had so many doctor appointments and we would normally stay with Aunt Dormalee while mom and dad took Travis to the Hospital. She always took such good care of us and was an Amazing cook. She will be so Greatly Missed. I don’t think I have ever missed a year that she didn’t send me a card for Christmas. She was always thinking about us kids.

Dormalee was the most wonderful person that I think I've ever known she was always so kind and so giving and she loved with her whole heart and I loved her with mine.  I remember one time when Greta drove back with the three little kids on vacation One Summer and on the way home we stopped at Don and Dormalees house and she had bought three presents for every hour that they would be able to open up on the way home and I can't tell you what those gifts meant to those little ones.   When you talk to any of my grandchildren they all loved her very much and enjoyed all the time that they were able to spend with her and Don.  My life will definitely not be the same without her.  And someday I will look forward to seeing her on the other side along with my brother Don and I'm so glad that the two of them are together once again.

My best memory is the Christmas we had at her house and grandmas house. We all got together and just had the best times. I love her so much and will miss her greatly!!!!

This world lost, in Trevor's words, the BEST woman hes ever known, my Grandma Dormalee. She was beautiful, selfless, loving, honest,.....she is irreplaceable! Life will not be the same without her in our lives but I know she is at peace, with the love of her life, my Grandpa. I was blessed to have spent the last few days by her side and will hold that time in my heart....always. I will miss our weekly conversations and her greeting us at the door, always so excited to see us and hear what was new and different with us. My boys were lucky enough to have been so close with her and she loved "her boys". Please pray for my Mama, my Uncle, and my family as this next week will be another hard one to walk through. I know we will make it as long as we're together. In Grandma's words, " My life is my family and my pictures" and we have one of the best. Love you always Grandma!

The sky today was a bit more blue. And so am I. 

My family lost the most special person- my Gma Dormalee. I lack the words that would be eloquent enough to provide a description of the love my family has for this amazing woman and the life she lived. We take great comfort in the fact she has been reunited with my Gpa in heaven. 

I sincerely appreciate the outpourings of love myself and my family have received. Please continue to keep us all in your prayers. Many have asked, ‘what can we do?’…. And I do have an answer to that question. 

Be kind to each other. Be giving. Be loving. Give a hug. Share a compliment. Be patient. Show grace and forgiveness. Be joyous and thankful for your family and friends. Appreciate -genuinely appreciate- the time you have with others. For someone who embodied all of that to her very core, that would honor her memory better than any donation ever could. 

My gma had books upon books of pictures. I cannot even describe the amount. Laughable really. From so far back, the black and white isn’t even black and white. It’s yellow and gray. Me in a tee ball uniform. My brother and sister in Easter clothes. My Gma and Gpa leaning on the hood of some old Chevy. Him in his uniform. Her in some flowing dress. You can feel the dirt from the roads in the pictures. The old front porches and rocking chairs. Gpa and his chops. Family reunions. My mom in high school. Her and dad in Hawaiian shirts on their honeymoon. Uncle Ron on a water slide. 

I used to laugh at all that. Until I was a little older. …And I realized what they really were. Snapshots of memories. Of a time. A place. Or a person. People. A feeling. A moment she wanted to remember. But not remember alone. Those were to share. With others she cared about. I hope I can pass that importance along to my kids. Nieces. Nephews. Whether by picture books or just in your head, memories are to share with those you love. (And I plan to do a lot of sharing over the rest of my laps around the sun) 

Although my heart mourns, I rejoice that we will meet again one day in Heaven. My prayers are with all the family now that their mourning will last but a night.

We will miss her terribly. The first day I met her. I fell in love with her when I used to come over and stay all night with her we would sit and watch the ball game. She would cook us a dinner we look at pictures we would sit and laugh And talk about our family and talk about how much we loved our grand children I was so blessed to be able to come over and help her with everything. She always said I was one of her best friends. I will miss her terribly, but now she’s with grandpa and she’s in no pain. We are so sorry for your loss. She will always look down at all of us and watch over us. We love you all Donna and Joe Parker, and family. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dormalee was truly one of a kind. Our friendship was very special. She will always hold a special place in our hearts! Thinking of you Donna and Ron and your families! So very sorry for your loss. 

Dormalee was such a special person.Jennifer and I were so blessed to have her and Don in our lives.She did love her pictures and videos and loved her family so much...So glad we got to spend Christmas with her....I can just imagine the first thing she did when reaching heaven was to have Jesus stand in between her and Don and someone take there picture...She will be missed but never forgotten.Love you Dormalee and all the family....
