Bertha Mae Russell, age 92, of St. Ann, Missouri, passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2024. She was born December 1, 1931 in Pocahontas, Arkansas to Homer H. And Nola Mae (nee Ingram) Kerley. She was the 10th of 13 children. She met her loving husband Lee Russell in Pocahontas, they were married on September 17, 1951 and spent 65 beautiful years together. They were blessed with 5 children.
Bertha is survived by 4 of her children, Linda Kay Harris, Ronnie Stephen Russell (Chuck Having), Tommy Lynn Russell (Marty Kane), and Debbie Jane Nolting (Harvey); 8 grandchildren, Aimee, Gary, Andrew, Leah, Jena, William, Michael, and Julie (Bryan); and 11 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lee Russell, her parents Homer and Nola Kerley, and her son Gary Lee Russell. She is also preceded in death by all nine of her sisters and 3 brothers.
She was a member of the Church of Christ where attended church faithfully every Sunday. She was a very social person and enjoyed chatting on the phone with friends and family. Bertha and Lee loved to travel to many places together. Bertha enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and was immensely proud of the family her and Lee had created. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Services: Visitation from 10:30-11:30 am, Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at Alexander White Mullen Funeral Home, followed by Funeral Service at 11:30, and burial at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
